In order to made easier train's batteries replacement operations, SIMAI has developed many units, each of them studied to fit perfectly working place's unique features.
The latest among these units is the trailer SIMAI RB10PB

It's a trailer with steering fore axle and parking brake, equipped with two shelves to hold the batteries.
Battery replacement operations are performed throughout a lenghtenable lifting platform.

 

Batteries can be replaced at any heigth between 0 and 1000 mm from the ground. The lift can be manually moved along the SIMAI RB10PB's side to place it precisely in front of battery's slots without making to many manoevres with the unit.
SIMAI RB10PB shelves allow to carry and replace up to 6 batteries.


Lift motion is electric. The SIMAI RB10PB is fed either by a 24 V battery with charger on board or connecting it with the towing tractor SIMAI TE70 equipped with suitable socket.
