Being a manufacturer of zero emissions materials’ handling vehicles – and always focusing on environmentally friendly newer technologies, SIMAI decided to become independent from electric power produced using fossil fuels installing building-integrated photovoltaics.

INAUGURATION OF THE NEW CARGO CHECKPOINT IN SCHIPHOL (AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS)

On Monday 21st September 2009, Jan Kees de Jager, the Dutch State Secretary of Finance officially opened the Cargo Checkpoint at Schiphol. The Cargo Checkpoint is an innovative and unique worldwide partnership between Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AAS), the Netherlands Customs Authorities and Air France-KLM Cargo.
Using the new scan facility, pallets don’t have to be checked separately. Instead an electric tractor drives through the scan with a full train of dollies.    Read more »

Presentation of SIMAI PPE 6 "VPI" First Aid Vehicle for railways stations
